Hanging on to Hope
Sometimes it’s difficult to hang on... the glimmer of hope flickers until it fades away.
Some days feel like standing in the middle of a storm,
with everything falling trembling in the wind.
You watch pieces of yourself scatter—dreams, plans, old identities—
and wonder if there will be anything left to hold.
But hope is strange.
It’s quiet, almost invisible,
a thread so thin it’s easy to overlook.
It hides in small things—
a morning light that feels soft enough to rest in,
a smile from a stranger that lingers longer than expected,
a voice inside that whispers, not yet, not now, don’t give up.
Hanging on to hope isn’t about denying pain.
It’s about choosing to see the sliver of light even when everything feels heavy.
It’s about letting the smallest, simplest reasons keep you moving
until your hands can rebuild again.
You don’t need to feel brave.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to hold on to that thread—
the one that ties today to a gentler tomorrow.
Always,
Zahra
